Over 30 years later, Masjid al-Mu'min of Pittsburgh is still standing and has been working very hard to establish the type of Islam which was meant to reform all walks of society to serve the one and only true God, Allah, the Most High who is without any partners, who exists without a place. Under the leadership of Imam Na'eem Abdullah and the consultation of its Majlis Ash Shurah, Masjid al-Mu'min is dedicated to reviving the spirit of Islam in its vicinity. Masjid al-Mu'min is what some may call a “Sunni” community. “Sunni” is short for “Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah” which means “People of the Sunnah (the Prophetic Way) and the Community.
